What Is Tori Spelling’s Net Worth and Salary?
An American actress, Tori Spelling has a net worth of $150 thousand. She is most recognized for her role as Donna Martin on the iconic ’90s television show “Beverly Hills, 90210,” co-produced by her father, the legendary Aaron Spelling. Additionally, she made a brief appearance in the show’s contemporary spin-off series.
Even though Tori is the daughter of Aaron Spelling—who had a net worth of $600 million at his death in 2006—she did not inherit a substantial portion of his estate. Most of his assets were passed to her mother, Candy Spelling. Reports indicate that Tori only received $800,000. Tension arose when Candy reportedly stopped supporting Tori financially, citing her daughter’s excessive spending habits. Their relationship has been tumultuous, with financial issues frequently at the forefront.
Apart from her portrayal of Donna Martin, Tori has explored various avenues in television, film, and reality TV. She featured in the sitcom “So Notorious” (2006), which offered a humorous perspective on her public persona, and has been part of numerous TV movies, particularly for Lifetime and the Hallmark Channel. Her reality TV endeavors also include co-starring with her husband, Dean McDermott, in “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” (2007-2012). In addition to her acting career, she has authored multiple books, such as the “New York Times” bestseller “sTORI Telling,” and founded a jewelry line, highlighting her entrepreneurial flair.

Is Tori Spelling Broke?
Shocking many, Tori revealed in October 2013 that she was financially broke, having exhausted all her earnings to the point of needing to borrow money from her mother for rent and being unable to afford a basic medical procedure for her husband.
She stated that she had depleted every dollar earned from acting or inheritance from her late father, estimated at $15 to $20 million. In an interview, she mentioned how she squandered millions on unsuccessful real estate ventures and extravagant purchases for her family. When questioned about her net worth, Tori responded:
“I don’t have one million dollars. We had some income here and there, but no savings apart from our retirement accounts.“
However, to provide some balance, Dean, her husband, clarified her remarks the following day in a conversation with US Magazine:
“Right now things are going well. Tori and I are doing just fine financially.“
It’s also worth noting that Tori’s mother, Candy Spelling, boasts a net worth of $600 million, so her financial future might not be as dire as it seems. Yet, in March 2017, City National Bank initiated a lawsuit against Tori and Dean for their failure to repay $200,000 of a $400,000 loan. They also claimed that Tori overdrew her checking account by $17,000.
During this lawsuit, Dean faced additional legal trouble when his ex-wife filed a claim for $100,000 in unpaid child support. In October 2017, court filings from Dean’s ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, alleged that several months after she had…
After taking him to court for not paying alimony, child support payments were also halted by him. In her legal filing, Eustace declared:
“In the past six weeks, he has indulged in two lavish vacations, one to Iceland and another to the Four Seasons in Punta Mita. He currently lives in a $2 million property financed by his mother-in-law, Candy Spelling, and shows no motivation to seek employment. He has over $100,000 in owed payments coming up, and I am convinced he plans to avoid paying. He defaults on my son’s tuition and university rent, is behind on therapist bills, while he visibly shops and throws extravagant parties for his five other children.“
A few months prior, the pair faced a lawsuit from American Express over $87,000 in credit card debt and $260,000 in tax obligations. Reports from 2023 indicated that Spelling managed to settle her credit card debts with American Express.

Early Life
Victoria Davey Spelling, known as Tori Spelling, entered the world on May 16, 1973, in Los Angeles, California. She was born to two notable figures: her father, television and film producer Aaron Spelling, and her mother, the author and socialite Candy Spelling. Her brother, Randy Spelling, once an actor, now works as a life coach. Tori attended Beverly Hills High School before finishing her studies at Harvard Westlake, graduating in 1991.
Acting Career
At the tender age of six, Spelling began taking acting lessons with a coach hired by her father. This led her to secure guest appearances on several popular television series, including “The Love Boat,” “Fantasy Island,” and “Saved by the Bell.” When she turned 17, she landed the role of Donna Martin on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” a show co-produced by her father’s company, Spelling Television. The series ran for a decade, from 1990 to 2000, during which Spelling portrayed Donna throughout its entirety. Her performance earned her two nominations for Young Artist Awards. While on the show, she also appeared in numerous made-for-TV movies, such as “Co-Ed Call Girl,” “A Friend to Die For,” “Mother May I Sleep With Danger?,” “The House of Yes,” and “Trick,” all during the 1990s. In 2006, Spelling reprised her role as herself in the VH1 sitcom “So Notorious,” which humorously depicted her public persona.
Reality Shows
In 2007, Tori and her spouse, Dean McDermott, purchased a bed and breakfast named Chateau La Rue in Fallbrook, California, leading to their starring role in a reality series titled “Tori and Dean: Inn Love.” Following the sale of the bed and breakfast, the show was rebranded to “Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.” In July of the same year, Spelling was ordained as a minister, enabling her to officiate a wedding for a same-sex couple at the bed and breakfast, which was documented in an episode of “Inn Love.” Their follow-up series, “Tori & Dean, sTORIbook Weddings,” debuted on April 6, 2011. However, writers subsequently filed a $60 million lawsuit against the series, claiming they had originated a similar concept starring Tori and Dean. The legal action accused the series of breach of implied-in-fact contract, slander of title, and engaging in unfair business practices, among other allegations. In August 2014, a new reality show featuring eight half-hour episodes titled “Tori & Dean: Cabin
Produced and aired on CMT Canada and HGTV, “Fever” captured the story of Spelling, McDermott, and their children as they transitioned into a lakeside cabin located in Ontario, Canada. Additionally, she participated as a guest and contestant on episodes of “The Masked Singer” and served as a host for the 2022 series “Love at First Lie.”

In May 2006, she wed Dean McDermott, with whom she fell in love while filming the made-for-TV movie “Mind over Murder” in 2005. At that time, Dean was still married to Mary Jo Eustace, with whom he shared a child and was in the process of adopting another. They divorced in 2006.
Together, Tori and Dean have five children, and Tori is the stepmother to Dean’s son, Jack Montgomery McDermott, from his marriage to Eustace. Reports in June 2022 indicated that Spelling and McDermott were undergoing a trial separation. Their official separation was announced in June 2023 after 17 years of marriage, and Tori filed for divorce in March 2024.
In May 2023, Tori and her children required urgent care treatment from being sick due to a mold infection in their home. She reached out on social media seeking advice regarding an issue that has been “slowly killing” her family for years.
